A Few Things You Should Know

Hello darlings.  I hope May is treating you well.  You know, all 8 hours of it.  May can be tricky.  You think she's summer but she's still spring, it seems like shorts should be appropriate but jeans are suggested... Let me tell you, the water is still cold, so don't go jumping head-first unless you're hoping for a shock.

We'll call this little piece of information Data Point Zero.  Wanted to let you lovelies know that I'm currently giving away a purse on Malisa's blog.  She said she'd be okay with you hopping over there and checking it out.  Just sayin', its free, and its cute!  Check it out!

I have a few things to tell you.  Numero Uno, I feel like I should tell you that I don't speak Spanish.  Not really.  I can say "Come here" quite clearly.  I can mumble my way through "Where is the bathroom" and "How much does it cost", and I've had no opportunity to use those two phrases strung together.  I can count up to about 30-ish, but then I slip into French.  I point at pictures at Mexican restaurants, and usually just go with "Chimichanga".  Trust me, you can't go wrong with a chimichanga - hold the beans, extra queso.

That just won't do, and I'll know.

That's what new on the bloggity blog blog.  In our house, we've got curtains up in the main room, finally.  Still none in the bathrooms.  I can't explain my priority system.  You'd think, ground-level bathroom window would be the first place you put curtains; apparently, you'd be thinking wrong.  I went with master bedroom, which is nearly logical, then moved to 2 spare bedrooms which no one uses, and then the downstairs living room, which is half buried in earth (its a split-level).  Makes no sense.

May is also going to be the month when Handsome starts Paramedic school.  Its going to be another strain on our schedule, another "every-third" obligation, with studying in-between.  I'm not sure how we're going to handle the hours and the busy-ness.  I do know that he's going to be fantastic at it, once all is said and done. I'm so proud of him, and we'll survive the process of getting there, that's for certain.  And I'm also just as certain that I'm going to lose some weight if he keeps mentioning medical processes & injuries he's learned about at the dinner table.  So that's something to look forward to, I suppose.

And so we start May.  The end of another year of school, the beginning of a beautiful summer.  All I can say is, bring on the watermelon!!
