So. The mail. Lets talk about it.
As you know, I often pick up the mail for my out of town neighbors because (1) they ask me to and (2) I love, LOVE to get mail. Even if its bills. Even if its not for me. No matter what, I love mail.
First on my list of mail-time loves? Citrus Lane. Oh my. You know I love baby gear. And I love surprises. And I love the mail. So my mind. was. blown. when I found this company. They send you a box of age-appropriate baby stuff in the mail. You can sign up monthly, or just buy one when you want it. I'm waiting on my first one to arrive, and you can be sure you'll be hearing all about it! Right now, they are offering the coupon code TAKEHALF for 50% off & free shipping. Feel free to visit their website, or click through here to sign up (which does give me some perk [that I forget what is is] that I felt I should tell you about).
There's a similar company that sends you FOOD (I know, right!?), NatureBox, that I haven't pulled the trigger on yet. But I'm thinking about it. Have you used it? Are they fabulous snacks? Get 50% off with FB50, in case you're interested.
In other news, I love amazon, and even though amazon doesn't know who I am, I thought I'd tell you about my dirty little secret: I order my TP online. And my mouthwash. And, well, a bunch of other household things. Now, I'm not an agoraphobic - I do go to the grocery store. But I am a chrematophobic (not really. that's a real phobia. I'm just a cheapskate.) Which is to say, I like to get the best deal. And I use Amazon's Subscribe & Save program to get me that.

Apparently this month's theme was blue & white. Let's go Nittany Lions! |
Anyhow, here's the deal with subscribe & save: You order the items that you want, and you sign up for them to be delivered every 1-6 months, depending on what you think you need. You get a 5% discount for doing so. If you order 5 or more things to be delivered in the same month, you get a 20% discount. And if you find the items already discounted? Its 20% off OF THAT PRICE. I know! So not only do you get them delivered with free shipping, but you get them cheaper than going to the grocery store, AND you're not tempted to buy 3 boxes of Butter Keks. I've used this on coffee, TP (as I mentioned), breakfast cereal (as opposed to lunch cereal???), and about a dozen other things. You should note, though, that the price can change, and you should always check it out before getting your next subscription. And you can cancel it at any time. Even immediately after getting your first one, with no penalty. I do it all the time, because the prices are so variable.
For the final mail time experience of the day, let me tell you about SpoonFlower. SpoonFlower is a website where you can upload your own designs, and then purchase custom made (by you!) fabric, wrapping paper, decals, and even WALLPAPER. This is so cool to me. For example, you could have your kiddos write their name, scan it, upload it, and order some wallpaper to cover their book cases with. I'm just spitballing here. Really, the possibilities are endless. Anyhow, SF just added a knit fabric option, and offered a free 8"x8" sample! I've ordered mine, and can't wait for it to arrive at my door! [NOTE: I was writing to share about this because I wanted you to be able to get a sample, too, but I just found out that the opportunity ended on 9/5. Sorry!]
Now its just a crying shame that the USPS no longer delivers mail on Saturdays. Enjoy your weekend, y'all!
<3 M.
