"Do what Shannan does."
Shannan wears old man pajamas in public. She's such a boss. |
This is my new motto. I'm putting it on one of those rubber bracelets, because that's when you know a thing is really a thing. And doing what Shannan does, well, it's a thing. Now you know. (psst... Shannan, you should know this is a thing now, too, else its just seems stalker-y...)
Shannan eats salsa. Check.
Shannan tapes things to walls. Check.
Shannan says to believe her when she says that Taco Bell is delicious. Check check check!
So when Shannan said that she's not writing for 31 days straight like all the rest of the bloggysphere, but is instead intentionally following along with other people's journeys and commenting and interacting and encouraging, well, do I have to say it?
Check.
So I went to the Nester's site (I'd also like a matching bracelet that says "Nester made me do it" in case you're thinking of a Christmas present), and I looked through the handy categories, and picked a few. Shannan picked 6. You'd think I'd do the same, but I went a little wild. I have trouble not including anyone, ok? I love this idea, though, because while I'm not in a place where writing for 31 days in a row on the same subject, digging deep and doing soul work, would be a good idea, I can appreciate what others are doing! So here's my list!
- Vignette Me
- Taking the Small Business Plunge
- Adopting Intentionally
- Adoption and Foster Care
- Content to Rent
- Document Your Days with Joy
- Giving Handmade
- Simple Self-Sufficiency
Its funny to me to look at this list and realize what called to me. Some because I need to know what they know, and I need to know now. Others, because of a general interest, in the "someday" category. Only one whose writer I've read before. I'm excited to "meet" these new people, and find out what they know! Now if you'll excuse me, (6 days) x (8 blogs) = a lot! to catch up on!
<3 M.
Thanks so much for including our blog! I'm excited to look around yours as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm really excited to learn more about your topic, Becca! Adoption has always been on my radar, in a "someday" way, and I like to think that forewarned is forearmed, or whatever that saying is :)
DeleteOH MY GOSH I'M DYING!
ReplyDeleteThis is hilarious. And rad.
You're such an over-achiever with that list! ;)
Love it, lady.
I'm with you.
X - Shannan Was Here
:)
We do both know that I've waaaay over-committed, right? BTW - your cheesy vegetable soup was AHWESOME. Because "do what shannan does".
DeleteSo good! Writing for 31 days seems a bit overwhelming right now, so this is a great idea!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're excited too, Grace! Let me know which one is your favorite that you find!
DeleteWow! I'm honored to be one of the bloggers on your list. This challenge is intense. And I'm really enjoying it, but sadly, it leaves little time to read other blogs. Maybe when October is over?? lol!
ReplyDeleteMaybe November is "read for 30 days"? :) Keep it up, girl!
DeleteThanks so much for sharing Content to Rent! I hope it helps remind of all the goodness that's around us! - Rachel www.atwelladventures.com
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to keep up with you! Thanks for doing the hard work :)
