Everyday October Winner

Thank you to all who entered both for your support of my blog and helping me spread the word about how EO is awesome.  I wish you all could win, I really do.  But your can't.

In case you missed it on facebook, the winner from the Everyday October giveaway its one Laurie Dodson. Laurie Dodson, come on down!  And by "come on down" I mean "wait to be contacted by the ago owner", but that just doesn't have the same ring to it. No flow, ya know?

I'm writing this from my phone, and I am unsure of how its going to work, so please excuse any formatting issues and the obvious lack of potties. I meant pictures. Gotta love auto-correct.

Winner and Popped Corn

Hey folks!  How you doin'?  No, no, how you doin'?  Wanna know who is doing fine?  That would be one Crista Hankey, the winner of The Coin Laundry's Onesies and Twosies giveaway!  I happen to know personally that Miss Hankey currently has no children of her own to clothe in the adorableness that is The Coin Laundry Onesies, and when I saw she had won, I can't lie, I thought "Oh!  Maybe it's for me!".  HA. And then I remembered - Miss C Hank has got herself a niece (or nephew, I don't remember that part) coming into this world this Christmas!  And although I know I am quite dear to her, I have an inkling that the wee one who shares her name will likely be getting whatever onesie (or twosie!) she picks out!

I'm trying to not take it personally.

For those of you who didn't win, I wanted to share something life changing with you.  I discovered this a few months ago, actually, and although it changed my life, I failed to share it with you.  I know, it was hateful of me.  Please forgive me.  Here is my forgiveness offering:

Dinner Inspiration & Giveaway & Winners

***
WINNER:  drummmmmrolllllll..... Miss Hannah!  Congrats Miss Hannah, you'll be receiving your new picture frame within two weeks!  Thank you for the suggestions, you appear to know more than you think you do about feeding people!

We’re out of food.

Not in the actual, “Cockroaches would starve here” way, but in the “I can’t think of anything to cook anymore” sort of way.

I hate that feeling.

I’m on track to come in at/under the new grocery budget, which is exciting to me.  I wrote the cheesecake that I sent to the fire station off as a “gift”, so I actually probably have about $20 less than what I’m pretending I do.

ASIDE: Did you know that cheesecakes cost that much?  Ridiculous.  And here I always thought I had cheap tastes.

Anyhow, there’s so much room left in the budget because I haven’t gone grocery shopping for about a week and a half.  And I just don’t want to.  I can’t seem to get up the get up and go to go and shop.  (If that sentence made any sense to you, perhaps you’ve been here too long.)  I’m not inspired, mostly because I just haven’t taken the time to get that way.

Did you know that inspiration often takes effort?  That’s the way I’ve found it to be for me, at least, and I’ve heard from some other people that they often have to grease the wheels before they have an epiphany.  Usually, my inspiration for dinners comes from (1) sale notices in the newspaper (or the online version) or (2) perusing online food blogs/recipe sites.  But I haven’t really done any of that.

And I’m feeling tired.  It’s a 5-day week at work, and you know how those effect me.

I WON

And I'm pretty excited about it.

Truth be told, I don't even really know what I won.  Its a book... ?

I like to win, and I enter to win anything I can.  I put my name in a drawing this weekend while at the art festival. No call on that one yet.

But, I did enter to win on Pam Anderson's (not that Pam Anderson) blog, three many cooks.  I didn't really know what the prize was, but I saw the word "giveaway" pop up on my feed reader, and I clicked, scanned for what to enter to be eligible, and entered away.  Imagine my surprise yesterday when I got an email titled "You Won".

All I had to do with send them my address and bank account number and social security number... KIDDING!

I should be getting the book in the mail sometime in the next week or so (I'm assuming here), and I'll let you know what its about!  I am 89% sure its a cookbook.  I LOVE cookbooks.  And Pam is a great judge of all things to do with cooking, so I'm sure its quality.

Super excited and pleased with myself,
TFW
